Visit the Genesee River in winter in Letchworth State Park. Enjoy a challenging hike with lots of steep elevation changes. Snowshoes recommended if snow is deep. Bring lunch and beverage and layer garments. Meet at the Visitor Center at 10:00 am on Thursday, February 23, 2006. 4 1/2 hours, 3 1/2 miles.

Sat. February 25 10:00 am Meet at Castile Entrance Gate. May car pool. Bring a lunch. (3 hrs, 2 miles) Bring children, they are VERY GOOD at finding hidden creatures.

Sat. February 25 2:00 pm Meet in the Conference Room at the Visitor Center (2 hrs.)

Sun. February 26 1:00 PM Meet at Mount Morris Entrance Gate. May car pool. (3 hrs. 2 miles)

Wed. March 1 10:00 am Meet at Parade Grounds Entrance on Route 436, 1 mile east of Portageville (toward Nunda). Will car pool. Bring a lunch (3 1/2 hrs, 2 1/2 miles) Will view Rail Road bridge up close as well as Upper Falls. Some interesting trail levels but basically flat.

Sun. March 5 10:00 am Meet at Perry Entrance Gate. Will car pool. Bring a lunch. (4 1/2 hrs 3 1/2 miles)

Thurs. March 9 10:00 am Meet at junction of Oakland and River Roads. Bring a lunch (3 1/2 hrs, 2 1/2 miles)

Sat. March 11 2:00 pm Meet in the Conference Room at the Visitor Center. (2 hrs.)

Sun. March 12 10:00 am Meet at Bear Hollow (#16) trailhead on River Road 1/2 mile south of Ridge Road junction. Bring a lunch. (4 hrs, 3 miles)

Tue. March 14 6:00 pm Meet at inspiration Point. Bring a flashlight. (3 hrs, 2 miles)
