School groups are encouraged to attend this one. The General public is also welcome. An outdoor celebration with 10 stations to visit, each station will have a differant topic of discussion. Topics include flintknapping, civil war camp life, wool spinning, listen and watch a portrayal of Mr. Letchworth and Caroline Bishop. Cake will be available. Call 585-493-3616 for more information. Celebrate the 183rd birthday of William Pryor Letchworth with children from area schools. a 1/2 mile loop featuring 10 stations, each with a 15 minute presentation on some aspect of Letchworth's life or interests including a chance to meet Mr. Letchworth and his loyal secretary, Caroline Bishop will be followed by birthday cake! Meet in the museum area of Letchworth State Park at 9:00 am on Wednesday, May 31. Public Welcome! (4 hours)

Hike off trail in Letchworth State Park tracing the park's unmarked boundary with an expert guide. Encounter brush, stream crossings, steep hills and what ever else nature may offer. Dress for the weather and bring lunch and water. Meet at the Castile Entrance at 10:00 am on Thursday, June 1. Will car pool. (4 hours, 2 miles)

Meet at the Castile Entrance to Letchworth State Park at 10:00 am on Saturday, June 3 and spend a couple of hours helping clean up and mark park trails. Entrance fee waived for volunteers. Bring hand tools (pruners, grass whips, bow saws) and work gloves. (2 hours, 1/2 to 1 mile)

Carnival style event featuring games, activities, educational workshops, free fishing ( no license required ) , free lunch and door prizes. Presented in conjunction with DEC and Cornell Cooperative Extension. Noon to 6:00 PM at Trailside Lodge.

Come watch as 80 pre 1916 cars tour Letchworth State Park. They will begin at Mount Morris at 10:30 AM and drive to the Glen Iris Inn. Cars will be on display at the Glen Iris from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM. Come see how the Glen Iris might have appeared in the early 1900's.
